Restaurants in Las Vegas are booming. Vegas is a world-renowned travel destination and along with the tourists comes a demand for a variety of dining options. In restaurant lingo, the term "room" is used to describe the inside of the facility. Living in Las Vegas affords me the opportunity to visit all kinds of rooms. High-end rooms, low-end rooms, rooms of many different cultures, and my favorite … rooms with a view. These are 5 of my favorites:

5. Oscar’s Steakhouse named after “the happiest mayor in the universe" … Oscar Goodman. Oscar's is located at The Plaza Hotel on Fremont St. Enjoy a variety of traditional high-end dishes and steaks along with a high-end view of Las Vegas.
4. Mt. Charleston Lodge affords a breathtaking view of mountain scenery. Just north of Las Vegas take the short drive to dine among the pines on the outside patio. Try the mountainous pile of nachos and then feast on beef, buffalo, or elk burgers.
3. The Eiffel Tower restaurant is one of Vegas’ most desirable dining destinations. A table by the window offers a commanding view of the Bellagio Fountains. They serve classic French cuisine: Bourguignon, Foie Gras, and Ratatouille … of course. Bon Appetit.
2. Ventano means window in Spanish and this room in Henderson has a spectacular panoramic view of the valley. All of Vegas is on display while you enjoy traditional Italian fare. Pastas, pizzas, and pesto's are just some of the classics.
1. Top of the World, atop of the Stratosphere, towers 800 feet above the Strip and offers a 360-degree view of Las Vegas in 80 minutes. You’ll find several surf and turf selections. The 21 layer chocolate cake makes for an apropos dessert.
There are several more options throughout our valley, our country and worldwide. Food thrillists dine in hot air balloons, suspended from cliffs and along some of highest peaks in the Swiss Alps and the Colorado Rockies. If high altitude isn’t your thing try something seaside, lakeside, or creekside like L’Auberge de Sedona. When you mix an incredible view with incredible food it can make for some truly memorable moments, taking in the food while taking in the view.
