According to AARP's Travel Survey, 38% of Baby Boomers have a travel bucket list. The desire to travel is even higher for Millennial's at 51%, and GenXers at 44%.

For the last fifteen years, my wife and I have traveled the world. The only catch ... we went with high school students. Don't get me wrong, we loved our teenage companions, but student travel moves fast. The quick pace is designed to give young people a taste in hopes they will return. The trips have afforded us the opportunity to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, ascend the Great Wall of China, and gaze across the Mediterranean Sea, in Eze Village, France. The bummer ... I didn't get to try the soft chocolate cake flavored with Jasmine, at Chateau Eza, but it's on my bucket list.

You don't think you can afford your travel bucket list? Here are four suggestions to get you going:

1. JOIN A STUDENT TRAVEL TOUR. Check out Explorica. Group travel can be up to 25% cheaper, and includes most meals, guide fees, and "cuts" to the front of the massive lines.

2. START SAVING YOUR CHANGE. Really ... my dad, who uses cash a lot, paid off his car in three years as opposed to five. Get a BIG CLEAR jar and put it in plain sight. Start saving.

3. PUT UP A PICTURE OF YOUR DESTINATION. Visualization is a powerful tool. A picture of your dream vacation will help you forego your $5 latte ... a day.

4.TAKE A STEP OF FAITH. Go get your passport. The process takes a while, so get prepared.

The beauty of God's creation is awe-inspiring. You realize how small your world is when you are immersed in another culture, eat new food, and sleep in accommodations that make you appreciate your own bed. Rekindle your sense of wonder ... get out and explore.
